EPC Contracts
Liquefied Cryogenic Storages: LPG & Ammonia
ASTUN has played a pivotal role in establishing a state-of-the-art refrigerated LPG Import Terminal at Krishnapatnam port. Innovative design elements, some of which are:
- Line pre-cooling without recirculation using auto refrigeration
- Operations running solely on LT power,
- Heating Refrigerated Propane (-42oC ) and Butane (-6oC) to +15oC using single pass heaters using water as utility
- Complete terminal operation including ship unloading on emergency DG power
All above design elements have been successfully implemented and validated. This milestone marks the establishment of a safer, more flexible design with significant capital investment savings and substantial operational cost reductions.

The design and engineering of a greenfield water-based paint plant for JSW Paints, Vijaynagar, facilitated through our parent company LAS, has afforded us a profound comprehension of the paint industry.

Our streamlined processes include pneumatic conveying and solid handling for efficient raw material management. Piggable liquid RM feed lines offer cost optimization and flexibility. Our fully automated plant facilitates precise RM addition, accommodating various RM types as per recipe. We prioritize localized drum handling and minimize production area movement. Additionally, we efficiently handle emulsions. In production, inline dispersers boost output, and pre-formed slurries enhance productivity. Our CIP system ensures cleanliness, waste collection during changeover is facilitated by innovative pigging, with stored effluent reused. ERP integration enables seamless recipe control, while plot plans and equipment layouts streamline material movement, reducing costs.
